It's time to  look at the Best Editing Race.

What Will Win:  With the race boiling down to The Artist and Hugo. The best picture status of The Artist almost has this race over from the get go. The Eddie win for The Artist will put The Artist over the top.

What Could Win: As I've said before Hugo could easily win this because of it's inclusion of scenes of editing itself and love from  within the academy. Comedy and musicals don't often win best editing. But then again comedy and musicals don't often do well in the academy in general.

Dark Horse: I really doubt that The Descendants will be able to win but after the best drama editing win it must have some support. With it chances of best actor and adapted screenplay slowly slipping away. The Academy may feel it needs to reward The Descendants somewhere.

Winner: The Artist
